Salon De Cannes: Best New Boat Launches

When it comes to the battle of the Titans in the yachting industry nothing levels the field like Yachting Festivals de Cannes. All the powerhouses in boating industry bring their masterpieces that blend technology, speed, and luxury to wow their audience. The 2017 Yachting Festivals de Cannes was one of the famous yachting shows ever seen. Let’s just say they celebrated their 40th anniversary in style- it was characterized by some of the best boats ever seen in the world. The prices of the boats were also crazy so unless you have a room full of cash laying around don’t get any ideas of owning these boat.

Top 5 motor boats

There were nearly 600 boats feature with more than 90 world premieres. However, it is the motorboat section that stole the limelight. And it would be very unfair if you didn’t attend the show and we fail to tell you the best of the best motorboats in the 2017 Yachting Festivals de Cannes. So, here are the top 5 motorboats:

Superyacht Elsea

CCN graced the show with a custom 50m superyacht designed using aluminum. The interior decorations are out of this world starting with the crystal lamps and exotic wood. These add the Mediterranean vibe just like the French Riviera. This water beast has a tight turning circle making it one of the most maneuver motorboats in the world. Its speed is incredible- the boat has a top speed of 27 knots that it generated by triple MTU 16V 2000M94 engines.

Andiamo superyacht 48m

Baglietto launched the Andiamo around May but the boat was featured at the 2017 Yachting Festivals de Cannes. Also, it got the hype like it was being unveiled for the first time. It is the first tri-deck speedboat launched by Bagliett. Also,  they did not disappoint at all with the cutting edge technology, luxury, style, and elegance. The Andiamo is powered by double MTU 12V4000M63 engines that produce a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.

Turquoise Yat – NB 60

Although the design and technology decide which boat takes the top spot but its timelessness is what makes it unique. The Turquoise Yat – NB 60 is designed to redefine luxury, style, and performance on the water. The boat is designed with steel, but its sharp and smooth edges give it a magnificent look. The boat is powered by two Caterpillar 3512B, 1950 BHP (1455 kW). And these generate a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.

 

Mangusta Oceano 42

The Oceano 42 were sold before even the completion of the project, and the 2017 Yachting Festivals de Cannes showed us for why. The designer, Alberto Mancini, designed the boat to give the guests a royal experience in the water. It is characterized by large windows and vast space. Thus, the simplicity in the design of this boat is what adds to its elegance. It has a top speed of 15 knots and a cruise speed of 11 knots.

Benetti Crystal 140

Lastly, the 40th Yachting Festivals de Cannes was graced by the Benetti Crystal 140. The panoramic 180 degrees windows on the main deck are not the only thing that will leave you lusting for this boat. In addition, the smooth transition of the exterior styling brings a new taste of power and class to the owners of this boat. Lastly, the boat is powered by MTU 12V2000M72 1080 kW engines. This produces a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots.
