The W113 SL-series one of the most sought after Mercedes Benz convertibles for good reason. The beautiful classic design conforms fully to the image of a classic from the sixties. The first to be introduced, the 230 SL (1963-1967) was fitted with a 2306 cc six-cylinder inline engine with an output of 150 HP and a top speed of 200 km/h. The automobile press wrote at the time the car drove as if on rails. Unlike the previous 190SL models, the W113 had a powerful six-cylinder engine which would suit current traffic very well. A 230SL drives comfortable and smooth, it has the reliability Mercedes is known for. If properly maintained, of course. The interior is spacious and offers larger passengers sufficient leg room. This 230SL can justifiably be called a great car. Unlike many SLs on the market, this is an original European-delivered one. This beautiful 230 SL was delivered new in Germany in 1965 and imported to The Netherlands in 1997. From then it remained with one Dutch owner. This man maintained the car down to the last detail, as per the many maintenance invoices from Mercedes-Benz classic car specialist van Dijk in Lisserbroek. Receipts for over 25,000 euros are included. The chassis, engine and gearbox are matching numbers. This is an original European version. The bodywork is completely neat and rust-free. Professionally resprayed recently in the original colour. The chrome is neat and scratch-free. The interior is very original and neat. It has a beautiful, properly working Becker car radio. Valuation report from 2017 for 95,000 euros. It drives, brakes and shifts like a new car. The soft top is nice and beautiful and a hardtop is included in a beautiful glossy black colour with a neat headliner. The hardtop’s chrome needs some attention. The car comes with a new Dutch Periodic Vehicle Inspection. The car has an immobilizer and there are 2 sets of keys. The necessary export documents will be provided for delivery to buyers from countries other than the Netherlands. Transport is possible by arrangement and at an additional charge. It is sensible to view the car first prior to bidding. The car can be viewed in Valkenswaard, the Netherlands.
