Story: An early 20th century silver plated Treasury Inkstand, centrally hinged and with one long lidded comparment to one side and three lidded compartments to the other, with scrolled loop handles, on bun feet, 32 cm wide, 22 cm deep. Treasury Inkstands date back to the 17th century are so-called because they were used by the British Government and sat on ministers' desks in the Treasury.
