The stunning Camel liveried type 102 is the only Lotus F1 ever to have been fitted with a V12 motor. Its sonorous 3.5 litre Lamborghini engine produces 700 bhp at 13,000 rpm (750 bhp at 14,000 race trim)and sounds truly superb, as attendees at previous Goodwood Festivals of Speed and Cholmondeley's Pageant of Power will testify.

Team Lotus manufactured five 102 chassis for the 1990 season, and they were raced by Derek Warwick, Martin Donnelly and Johnny Herbert. Chassis number 4 was by far the most successful and Warwick achieved the Lotus team's season-best finish of fifth in the car, at the Hungarian Grand Prix.

Following a 20 year period in storage with Lotus it was restored to original race ready condition by Classic Team Lotus, and subsequently demonstrated at a wide variety of high profile events by its first private owner, Andrew Morris and also Martin Donnelly. This chassis is the only 102 in running condition, and remarkably still has all of its original bodywork and decals and also Warwick's original alcantara seat. It is one of only two 102s that featured updated aero with improved diffuser and wings. The car has just been fitted with new seatbelts manufactured to the original design by the original manufacturer.
