### DESCRIPTION

Antique mid-18th Century exceptional French 18k gold mounted extensive etui set, of elongated octagonal form, the gold mounted boarders chased with laurel leaf bands, engine turned ground overlaid with transparent faux blonde tortoiseshell which is inlaid with polka dots and elaborate initials in a round reserve, the lid opens with a push-button. Inside enclosing the original gold and steel implements: fan writing tablet, scissors, needle case, pen knife, 3 string winders, pick, pencil, thimble, tweezers and a needle. All extensively hallmarked with French 18k gold marks (eagle head, 750 standard), and various duty marks.
