Antique 18th Century German 18k gold snuff box, the lid decorated with a delicately hand painted miniature depicting a finely dressed courting couple in a rose garden, standing beside a flowing fountain, sides and base painted in various colours of enamel in white reserves and surrounded by a garland leaf boarders.

Hallmarked with a Crowned AI, (Maker Unknown), Hanau, c.1770-1790, French gold guarantee marks.
