ANTIQUE 19thC JAPANESE SOLID SILVER & SHIBAYAMA KORO c.1890

Antique 19th Century Japanese Meiji period Shibayama Koro (Incense Burner). The straight oval body is applied with very fine multi-coloured mother of pearl, depicting birds and insects amongst flowers and the lid with a realistically carved floral finial. Base and rims applied with finely worked filigree silver. The piece dates to the Meiji period (1890-1912), acid tested shows a 950+ silver standard, the side is marked with Makers mark (Unknown to me)

In Great Condition - No Damage, just general wear.
