This is a wonderful large antique English George III silver cylindrical tankard with hallmarks for London, 1764 and the makers mark of William Peaston. The tankard has a hinged raised cover with scroll thumb piece, it has a bold scroll handle with heart shaped terminal and a moulded skirted base. There is no mistaking its unique quality and design, which is sure to make it a treasured piece of any discerning collector. Condition: In excellent condition with clear hallmarks and no dings, dents or signs of repair. Please see photos for confirmation. First mark entered as a largeworker, 8 January 1746. Address: New Rents, St. Martin's Le Grand. Moved to Dean's Court, 8 August 1749. Second mark, in partnership with Robert Peaston, 12 July 1756.
