The Autobianchi 500 Giardiniera was the version built by Autobianchi for FIAT of the New 500 Giardiniera, corresponding to D version of the 500 saloon in terms of preparation. In 1968, after launching of 500 F series, the Giardiniera took the brand Autobianchi. In addition to the Giardiniera specifications, it adopted black (instead of steel colour) air intake grids (those on the rear pillars) and the exterior rear-view mirror. In addition to the 'suicide' doors, a special feature of the Giardiniera was the tailgate, which also included a portion of the roof, hinged on the left side. Both of these 'special features' will be kept until the end of production (1977).The model we are offering is a very rare 'van' model, 4-seater approved, one of a kind. It only had 3 previous owners and it was an excellent base for a restoration project, running, perfectly working and with no accidents. We also included photos of how it looked before the restoration and various phases of the restoration.DESCRIPTION:Autobianchi Giardiniera Mod. 120 Z - Very rare closed version with 3 doors, 4-seater approved van. It underwent a complete restoration, involving bodywork, mechanics, interior and electrical system. The original colour was preserved as well as the ochre colour interior, which was hidden by blue seat covers.Bodywork was rust-free and there was no major damage, as you can see in some photos of how it was before the restoration.The seat structures were restored and reinforced, the upholstery is new, including padding, all rubber panels and mats, replaced with materials and types compliant with the original ones. The ceiling was lined. Every single component was dismantled, carefully restored or replaced with a new one, if necessary. Bumpers, stud covers, gaskets, chrome-plated parts, aluminium handles, many rubber parts, lights, battery, spark plugs, spark plug cables, air filter, belt, platinum-plated pins, half-coupling oil seals were replaced with new ones. The silencer is also new as well as the brake cylinders on all 4 wheels, sticks, four tyres and chrome-plated studs.The car starts well, the gearbox is smooth and precise, the engine works very well, as well as the brakes and everything else. The electrical system was restored, replacing the damaged parts. Car is very fun to drive, spacious and bright. A real eye-catcher!The vehicle can be tested and viewed in San Severino Marche, Italy.
