A Rare George II silver Coffee Pot, Liverpool circa 1720
Height: 22.8 cm (9 inches)
Weight: 25 oz gross

The tapering circular section body with a stepped moulded foot, with a facetted spout and a later carved wood handle, engraved with a crest, the domed cover with a baluster finial.
The crest, two lions paws, erect and erased, holding a human heart, is that of Richard Willis of Hall-of-the-Hills, Halsnead Park, Lancashire.

Another coffee pot of very similar form and with a similar distinctive spout is in the collection of the Liverpool Museum.
