A photograph I took forms the source of inspiration for Hong Kong Airport. In general, halls of airports are oversized constructions built with a minimum of materials. Because of the large open space, paradoxically, the human presence has almost dissolved. It is one great festival of shattered light, reflections and echoes. However, to direct large quantities of visitors, flexible fences are placed in a constant changing rhythmic pattern.
