The 1968 Release is the oldest at 45 Years Old. One of only 349 bottles. No. 52Matured over 45 long years and finished in the finest Sherry Hogshead. Hand selected by Billy Walker - Master Distiller. Distilled 7th May 1968 (07.05.1968). Bottled 19th February 2014 (19.02.2014). Cask Number 1601. Cask Type - Sherry Hogshead. Bottled at 44.3% vol Official Tasting notes: Appearance - Rich autumn gold. Nose - Long and luxurious. Heady red candy apples balance with a delicate spiced orange, all softening to a distant pineapple juice. Palate - Crisp oak spices soften to reveal elegant waves of fresh green apple and wisps of ripe banana. Delicate of hints of passion fruit, cedar wood and lime zest bring a fantastic depth to the long finish.
