This factory right-hand-drive example of the SS Jaguar 1 ½ was dispatched on 11 May 1936 through Tozer, Kemsley & Millbourne. Having undergone a full restoration, this vehicle presents in stunning condition both inside and out. It comes with heritage certificates, an original “Flying Standard Cars Instruction Booklet”, and other historical documents.

This model was the very first SS to be badged as ‘Jaguar’ so historically, this is a highly collectable, desirable example. Though to be one of only 9 left in RHD, this is a rarity!

With its unique interior design and colour, it is overlapped with a beautiful wooden interior frame. The restoration undergone by this example has truly bought it back to its release condition.

Pre WWII, Jaguar was then known by its parent company’s moniker, SS or Swallow Sidecar. SS released the 1 ½ series in 1935 as the entry level sedan in their current range that still had the bells, whistles and creature comforts desired by the upper middle classes. Unlike many other manufacturers who were simply building the engine and chassis before sending to an external body company, SS did everything in house from the ground up.

Its 1.5L 4-cylinder engine is powered from a 4-speed manual gearbox. Often referred to as the ‘sweeter ride’ among the Jaguar’s 6-cylinder production line.

This historic example presents excellently for its age with its stunning factory respray and touched up interior and offers an opportunity as a centre piece to any Jaguar collection.
