And on the walls fold-out work surfaces with drawer units.Over the years, a blacksmith welded storage boxes underneath the vehicle for storing gas cylinders, supply hoses and drain hoses and tools.There is a removable custom-made staircase for the side and back doors.The 400L diesel tank was replaced by a 100L diesel tank and a 300L water tank. A parking heater is also connected.The engine is in a good condition, the batteries keep going by means of a trickle charger.The chassis was addressed during the restoration, but the cabin was only refurbished cosmetically. I bought this Mercedes as a camper van in 1998. It was overhauled by various professionals during a 6-month restoration and conversion period, it was maintained by Scania in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. It was last on the road in July 2015.
