MK50 – WING BACK CHAIR

Price On Request

This wing chair, designed by Mogens Koch, is part of a small series of upholstered furniture, together with easy chair MK51 and sofa MK52, designed by Mogens Koch in 1936. The wing chair is always accompanied by its matching footrest, which allows one to fold out the seat cushion thereby turning the chair into a chaiselong.

The structural principle of the series is an upholstered part placed on a visible frame in oil-treated mahogany. The wing chair is covered with oxhide or goat hide fitted with leather covered nails.

Like many designers of his generation, Mogens Koch had a background in architecture. He worked in many areas including house design, monuments, building extensions as well as with the interior design such as furniture design, textiles, silverware and graphic design.
