Oak Louis XVI cabinet - the Netherlands - ca. 1780

US$1,320.32

This beautiful filing cabinet with ample storage options is in a beautiful condition. The cabinet is made of oak during the Louis XVI period in the Netherlands. The crown frame has a profiled dentil and the diagonal styles have fluting. The cabinet have beautifully refined fittings. The fittings on the legs show characteristics from the Rococo and of the Louis XVI period. The cabinet can be closed by fixing the left door with the original slide fastener at the top and bottom, after which the right door can be closed with key and lock that is original. The doors are beautifully covered with a green fabric so that the mesh is tightened. The sides of the cabinet include style- and line-work with panels. The inside of the cabinet contains no less than six large drawers with a nice pull ring. At the top of the cabinet are 7 drawer shelves that can be pulled out. As a result, the top unit is easy to arrange, if you need more space in height, you can remove 1 or 2 shelves, for example. The size is not too large and because of the green fabric in the doors, it doesn’t have a heavy look to it. Really a beautiful style-pure piece of furniture with a beautiful patina.Dimensions: 215 × 158 x 55.
