Table lamp model No. 526/P by Massimo Vignelli for Arteluce, 1965
This elegant lamp model No. 526/P was designed in 1965 by Massimo Vignelli for Italian lighting manufacturer Arteluce.
Model No. 526 is a table lamp with a base that consists of three concave chromed sheets. This base is covered by white Perspex shades. It has been produced in two different sizes; this is the smaller version with a height of 45 cm / 18 inches. The lamp uses 3 light bulbs for beautiful spherical light.
Giuliana Gramigna mentions this lamp in her standard work on Italian design Repertorio del Design Italiano 1950-2000 on page 121 (1965). It is as well mentioned in Italian Lights 1960-1980 - One hundred lamps from the Cortopassi collection by Paola Palma & Carlo Vannicola on page 36.
