Concorde table lamp by Yves Christin for Antonangeli Illuminazione, 1970s

Price On Request

This rare _Concorde_ table lamp was designed by Yves Christin and manufactured in Italy by Antonangeli Illuminazione in the 1970s. It is made from black lacquered metal and cast iron and clearly shaped like the turbojet-powered supersonic airliner.

It features a black lacquered metal shade on a circular cast iron base, which enables the lamp to rotate 360 degrees. The lamp can be operated by the red on/off switch on the inside of the lamp.

Yves Christin is probably more widely acclaimed for the design of a polypropylene _Balloon_ lamp for Bilumen, which he designed in the 1980s.

The lamp is in good vintage condition, but because of the weight and the construction of the lamp it slightly slants down. We have taken this into account when determining the price.

The height of the lamp is 39 cm / 16 inch, the width is 18 / 8 inch and the depth 70 cm / 28 inch.
