Adjustable floor lamp by HKA Helsingin Kaasuvalo, 1970s

Price On Request

Impressive floor lamp by Finnish manufacturer HKA Helsingin Kaasuvalo, probably designed in the 1970s.

The surprising feature of this lamp is the adjustability of the height of the off-white sphere. This construction, combined with the pleasant light generated by the plastic sphere, makes this lamp an interesting lighting object.

The lamp is made of a rather heavy metal base, a chromed metal rod and a sphere (diameter 38 cm / 15 inch). The latter consists of two half spheres, joined together by means of three decorative connecting pieces.

The manufacturer's brand is located at the bottom of the base (see picture).

Good vintage condition, with some traces of usage on the base of the lamp (see pictures). There are two minor, and certainly not disturbing, hairlines at the top of the upper hemisphere.
