This pendant, model _Verona_, was designed by Svend Middelboe in the 1970s and manufactured by the Danish lighting company Nordisk Solar. It is made from white lacquered metal and consists of seven shades.

A page from a Dutch lighting catalogue explains the design in more detail: "The individual shades of this lamp are arranged funnel-shaped towards the inside; they are so positioned that the light is reflected at the top and bottom of the shades. The reflection provides evenly light distribution at the surface of the lamp and supplies harmonic transparency of shape and light."

This item is in excellent vintage condition. The lamp is rewired with 2 m high-end quality, white fabric cord-for safety and beauty.

The height of the lamp is 27 cm / 11 inch and the diameter 40 cm / 16 inch.
