Extremely rare 18k yellow gold Patek Philippe ref. 2597, manufactured in 1960. Designed by Louis Cottier reference 2597 was launched in 1958: it was the very first dual time zone watch made by Patek Philippe. Fitted with the calibre 12-400 HS (Heures Sautantesor or jumping hours), the movement is an ingenious system that allows travellers to keep track of two separate time zones.
The pushers integrated into the left side of the case are used for advancing or setting back the hour hand in one hour increments.
Preserved in amazing condition, the present example represents a historical and eternally refined timepiece.
