Pontiac - Silver Streak, Eight Serie 27, 8 Zylinder - 1950

US$17,164.00

I am offering my 1950s Rockabilly Pontiac Silver Streak Eight Serie 27 due to lack of time. A 4-door sedan, with the original, powerful 8 cylinder inline engine, with 113hp (83kW). This was newly overhauled and adjusted, the vehicle therefore starts quickly and reliably. This vehicle has a 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts cleanly (very rare for the 1950 production year). The seats, door panels, even the headliner are still original and, except for a small hole in the seat on the passenger side, without damage. The headliner and the rear seat are in immaculate condition. Both sun visors are there and work, even the mirror is still there. Later, new belts were installed on both benches. Everything in this vehicle works, apart from the fuel gauge and the clock. This vehicle comes from California and has only had 3 owners and only 66.093 miles on the clock, it has always been kept in a garage and, aside from a bit of surface rust and patina, no perforating corrosion, as can be clearly seen in the photos. According to the previous owner, the paint is original. This vehicle has been well-maintained, repaired and little driven by the 3 previous owners. This vehicle has not yet been restored, everything is therefore original and works as described. There is age-related wear on the original parts and, after 68 years, also permitted. Some compatible spare parts, the original sun visor (which was removed from the front), as well as some chrome strips, the spare tyre and the original jack, along with a comprehensive user’s manual and reading material regarding this vehicle are in the boot. The covers of the rear wheels (to make them disappear in the body) are located in the passenger compartment to better see the decorative caps of the rims. The Silver Streak was the successor of the Streamliner with a bit more chrome and chrome strips and has become, in such condition, very rare in the meantime. There were few changes in 1950, only the teeth in the shark’s mouth became bigger. The eight-cylinder models received a new engine with 4,395 cc displacement, which delivered about 113 bhp (83 kW) at 3,600 min.The original US title is naturally available. This vehicle was imported a few months ago, has been customs cleared and all taxes have been paid. It was registered in Illinois up until the end and has American papers (the title), since the vehicle is all original and nothing has been altered, the typing should be possible very quickly and for little money. This vehicle can be viewed, test-driven and retrieved from the same address in 8055, Graz, Austria,We can gladly organize delivery within Europe for you.Good luck with your bid.It is recommended to view the vehicle prior to placing a bid in order to avoid any disappointment.
