Don’t miss out on this opportunity and become the new owner of this timeless Porsche 944 Turbo in original condition. During the first year of production (1985), only 178 units of the Porsche Turbo 944 were delivered, which makes this car very unique! The Porsche 944 was intended to replace the 924. It was in fact a strong face-lifted version of this model; the 944 was more modern, more reliable and faster. Mid 1985 the 944 underwent its first significant changes. In the Interior the ergonomics and the climate control were improved, and it got a completely new dashboard and new door panels. The alternator was upgraded from a 90 amp alternator to a version that delivered 115 ampere. Other changes included a modified capacity of the oil reservoir, the new front and rear cast aluminium suspension, a larger fuel tank, optional heated and electrically adjustable seats. The Porsche 944 became a huge success for Porsche in the 1980s.In 1985 Porsche introduced the 944 Turbo, a high-performance version, which was known in-house as the 951, and as the 952 for the version with right-hand drive. This model had a turbocharged and intercooled version of the standard engine which generated 220 HP (217 in the US) at 6000 RPM. The Turbo was characterised by several other changes, such as improved aerodynamics, strengthened gearbox, wider wheels and an improved suspension. Important changes of the engine, over thirty in all, were made to the 951 to compensate for higher internal taxes and heat. This is a Porsche 944 Turbo that is still in a very original condition, which is unique for these cars. The engine and gearbox are original and therefore have matching numbers. The car is still largely in its original paint (with the exception of the bonnet and bumper, which have ever been repainted in the original Indian Red paint), the paint is still in a neat condition. The original interior is also still in a very neat condition, as can be seen on the photos, as well as the dashboard. The engine idles nicely at 900 rpm and the car shifts smoothly and powerfully through all gears and brakes properly. The car is also offered with a maintenance history / invoices, the original temporary spare tyre is also still present. This original German Porsche 944 Turbo is imported in the Netherlands in 1990 and has a Dutch license plate since that time. Furthermore, the Porsche has a valid Dutch Periodic Vehicle Inspection until 24-04-2020, the car is thus ready for this summer. This 'early production' Porsche 944 Turbo is a unique and rare classic with a lot of potential, especially in the increasing Porsche market! So, don't miss your chance to become the new owner of this wonderful classic.
