Kang Yongfeng : The artist definition of arts within fine arts. a Born in Hunan in 1979, Kang Yongfeng studied at the Tianjin Academy of fine Arts. He obtained his Master’s Degree from the Academy in 2008. Kang Yongfeng has participated in art exhibitions in Beijing, Tianjin, Xi’an and Shenzhen. In 2007 he was awarded the prize of “Excellence” at an Annual National Art Academy Exhibition at the Today Art Museum in Beijing. An excellence shown by his art gave him a distinguished importance in Chinese fine art.

In 2008, Kang Yongfeng was selected as one of the top 25 emerging Chinese artists at the Chinese Art Prize (CAP). At the event, he was awarded the Silver Prize. Jury members who selected Kang included: Gerard Goodrow (Director of Phillips de Pury, Germany and former Director of Art Cologne), Daniela Bousso (Director, Paço das Artes, San Paulo, Brazil), Ami Barak (Curator of “Art for the World – The Expo” at Shanghai World Expo 2010 and Curator of Art Forum Berlin 2007), Linel Rebenchuk (Director, Toronto International Art Fair), Du Xinjian (contemporary Chinese artist and former professor at Central Academy of Fine Arts)
As the 2nd Prize-winner of China’s most prestigious emerging artist’s award, Kang Yongfeng looks to have very promising career ahead.
