"There was a troubled man firing at random cars. It was surreal at first, but the reality of the situation set in and I ran for cover. As I was taking a camera out of my snapshot bag, a patrol car made the scene with two plain clothed LAPD officers. I shouted at one that he had to do something."

**The artist: Gregory Bojorquez**

Gregory Bojorquezgrew up in East Los Angeles and began his career photographing his friends and neighbors. After gaining the trust of LA's notorious street gangs, he became the documentarian of this world. In 2011, he happened to witness a killing spree on Sunset Boulevard, which he captured with his analogue camera. Bojorquez grants viewers deep insight into the lives of people at the margins of society. Since _LA Weekly_became aware of his work, he also photographed Hollywood greats such as Snoop Dogg and Mike Tyson in an authentic and close manner, some of which have been published in _Rolling Stone_ and _FHM_ magazine.
