Consisting of Baguette, and Half Moon shaped diamonds forming the body of a snail this fantastic piece is a classic example of art deco period Cartier jewelry. Featuring a large half moon shaped diamond for the shell of the snail and two custom cut baguette shaped diamonds for the body of the snail, this pin also features two platinum wires for the snail's antennae. Weighing approximately 0.60 carats, the half moon shaped diamond is of beautiful VS clarity and top white E/F color. The two baguette cut diamonds, weigh approximately 0.40 carats and grade as VVS clarity and E/F color. In excellent condition, this piece is signed 'Cartier Paris' on the pin stem and is crafted in solid platinum. Snail measures 8mm from north to south by 11mm from east to west approximately. Pin has an overall length of 2 1/2 inches.
