PRODUCT INFORMATION
DETAILED PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Chris Steenbergen is one of a few well know Dutch artist jewelers in the second half of the 20th Century. This jewel was part of a private collection which we were lucky enough to be able to purchase. Ever since then we have been searching and studying into his background information to see where his jewelry was exposed and in what books he was mentioned. And it has been an interesting time.
We see this as a unique opportunity for collectors to obtain a collectible piece of future antique jewelry. Upon the purchase of this jewel, we will add the (Dutch) booklet Chris Steenbergen by Marjan Unger (Stichting Fonds BKVB, Amsterdam, December 2000).
A very similar brooch to this one is pictured on page 47 in the catalog of the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam, Netherlands, named Chris Steenbergen, goldsmith published in 1985.
