An antique early 19th century georgian period watch fob pendant in gilt silver. Traditionally worn on a mens pocket watch chain, these pieces have become exceptionally popular as a pendant for a woman necklace and look superb when worn on a gold necklace or a simple leather cord. In excellent condition this piece shows a beautiful patina throughout along with deep relief hand carved scroll work. This pendant features a loop at the top through which a chain or leather cord can be threaded allowing it to be worn as a necklace. This pendant also features a citrine set into the underside which can also be carved by a gem carver with a family crest or initials as was often traditionally done during the georgian period. Pendant measures 1 1/2 inches in length by 7/8 inches in width at the widest point and is most likely of English origin.
