A Belle Epoque platinum and 18ct gold diamond and ruby cluster ring owned by H.R.H. Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon. Circa 1893. The marquise-cut 1.40 carat diamond within a calibre-cut ruby surround, to old-cut diamond bifurcated shoulders and reeded band. Accompanied by a leather folder from Kensington Palace containing a certificate of provenance signed by Viscount Linley. This ring was originally given by H.R.H. The Prince of Wales (Later H.M. King Edward VII) to his daughter-in-law, H.R.H. The Duchess of York (later H.M. Queen Mary) on the occasion of her wedding on 6th July 1893. Later engraved with ownership mark of M underneath the Princess Coronet. A rare chance to own an exquisite piece of jewellery with a long royal provenance.
