Natural Sapphire with beautiful deep blue colour. 1.02 carat stone so a good size, with an excellent emerald cut. Fully certified by IGI in Antwerp, one of their best and most well equipped gem labs. Earth mined in Sri Lanka, source of some of the finest sapphires in the world.The colour on this stone is stunning, a deep blue colour. It also has a very good emerald cut which shows lots of light return and sparkle. The clarity is also very good with only minimal inclusions visible when looking closely. A blue sapphire with colour and clarity as good as this makes this a very rare and valuable gemstone. Perfect for investment, a collector or would look wonderful in a piece of high end jewellery.Ceylon sapphires of this quality are very rare and can fetch very high prices at auction. Standard heated, a very common and accepted treatment of sapphires which has been carried out for centuries. This treatment is so accepted, many sellers and jewellers do not even disclose this treatment.
