DETAILED PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

A lovely Art Deco style watch by Omega with the serial numbers on the movement dating this watch to around 1936. It is noteworthy that the movement in this watch, the barrel-shaped Calibre T17 was launched in 1934 and designed by Charles Perregaux. The T 17 denotes the maximum width of the movement at 17mm x 24.5mm long. It has an unusually long power reserve of 60 hours when fully wound and was unrivalled until 2006 when Omega created the Calibre 8500. Over 167,000 of this movement were made ending in 1943.
