We are pleased to present you a particular Rolex Submariner.
The ref 16800, the first to mount the sapphire crystal for the submariner is characteristic for the particularity that we can find in the dials, the first series is still supplied with dials quadrantoni, while from the end of 1984 onwards we find the most famous small glasses, however the first dials with glasses used a different gloss (called Zappon), which was lost with time and gave the dials an Opaque touch, this change is almost never homogeneous, so each watch takes the time in a different way, becoming each a unique piece.
On this model we can find a beautiful spotted dial, with alternating shiny and opaque as it is visible in the picture.
Cashier and bracelet were kept in good condition, we decided not to polish it.
