This is a nicely restored vintage Tissot in a most evocative design. The polished steel case has flared & scrolled lugs with a concave mid-case, resulting in a very seductive profile. The movement is similarly rectangular shaped with rounded ends & in a very clean condition which is quite amazing for it's age. It is further protected by a soft iron-core which enhances it's anti-magnetic capability and this is a rare find as most watches with such covers were lost over time during servicing which is impossible to replace. If this has been a Patek Philippe or Rolex with the same anti-magnetic capability, it would fetch tens of thousands for the rarity but look at our price now for this lovely vintage & we have two pieces for sale at the moment in similar condition at each gallery. Tissot was the sister company of Omega & this is signed as Tissit & Fils on the inner back cover. The case is in perfect condition & amazingly, free from rust or any marks of old damage which proves that this watch was originally in splendid condition. The back cover closes with a tight snap & although the dial is a restoration, it is of a high quality job & suits the watch perfectly without affecting too much of it's value. This was made for the gentleman about 70yrs ago so this boy size watch is now perfect for women or men with small wrists.
