This is a Victorian antique Davenport dating to the mid-19th century, circa 1850.

- Riding on the original brass castors beneath the plinth base, this Davenport benefits from the unusual feature of a swivel top allowing the writing slope to turn through ninety degrees offering knee room whilst sat at the desk.

- A shallow gallery backs the uppermost surface and a flying hinged pen drawer is to found to the right hand side. A further four drawers with turned pulls and brass keyhole linings, key absent, offer plentiful storage.

- Lifting the lid reveals further storage with a single stationery drawer to the rear of the compartment is dressed with turned pulls.

- The rich dark tones of the rosewood are set off by the light, gold tooled skiver writing surface.
