A neo-Gothic table mantel clock - France - 1880/1900

French table pendulum, wooden case, tower model with silver-coloured decorative cast pieces, the traditional bell at the top, the corners and feet also have decorative cast pieces and French lilly ornaments. Text on top of the dial “Je sonne la bonne heure”, with a lion with a French coat of arms above of it.To the front, there are two yellow copper ring-shaped dials, the top one is engraved with Roman numerals, behind the dial there is a moon that moves with it; the bottom dial is engraved with the names of the months (French text) and the numbers 1-30 to indicate the date, both dials have steel hands.The two sides each have 2 green-coloured glass panels, the back has a wooden door with hinges. Mechanical movement with wheel train and striking mechanism on half and full hours on gong. Month and date indication connected to the movement, some adjustment is necessary, movement runs.
