Antique 18th Century French 18k gold & enamel snuff box, of traditional oval form, the lid, sides and base engine turned and applied with dark blue enamel, within an elaborately chased floral and ribbon boarders.

Hallmarked with the charge mark of Julien Alaterre (1768-1774), Paris date letter, Makers mark resembling of Jean-Marie Tiron (1748-1773), see C. Truman, The Wallace Collection, Catalogue of Snuffboxes, 2013, p.346.
