DESCRIPTION

Antique 20th Century French solid silver and enamel casket, rectangular shaped with engine-turned decoration to the sides, the hinged cover is beautifully part guilloche enamelled and decorated in French Empire style with floral basket spreads to each corner, the center of the lid is set with translucent glass panel depicting a black and white miniature. Hallmarked French silver guarantee mark (950 standard), Makers mark (unknown silversmith) the piece dates to the 1900's.
