Antique early-20th Century Imperial Russian silver-gilt & guilloche enamel cigarette case, rectangular form with rounded corners, body enameled in translucent opalescent white over a engine-turned ground, the gold thumb piece mounted with finely set sapphire cabochon.

Both sides Hallmarked Russian silver 88 (916 standard), St-Petersburg, year 1908-1917, Polish import marks, No Makers mark, possibly made by [Britzin](https://www.pushkinantiques.com/ivan-britzin) (Founded in 1860, the workshop of Ivan Britzin was considered to be one of [Fabergé's](https://www.pushkinantiques.com/faberge) greatest competitors in the production of enameled wares)
