This 1900's French Empire-style desk is made of mahogany wood ebonized in a rich black color with a lacquered finish. The desk has two leaf extensions on either side that allow for a larger work space. Both the top and leaves are adorned with embossed leather inserts in an eye-catching green color with gilt accents on the trims and a center diamond accent. The front of the desk is accented by brass moulding and decorative accents on the legs and facade. The three drawers are opened by brass key holes and are adorned with brass moulding. The X-shaped legs are finished with a turned stretched bar and brass hoof feet. The locks and key are in working condition. This desk is sturdy, elegant, and ready to be used in any home or office for years to come.
