A tiny antique Peaseware spice-jar turned in Maple. This superb example measures only two and three quarter inches high to the top of its finial and has a mellow colour and patina and remains in completely original untouched condition. The company that produced these treen items was founded by David Mills Pease (1815 - 1890) in the Eascade Valley of north eastern Ohio, putting to good use the plentiful supply of Maple trees growing there.
