- Highly polished, this chest is raised on stepped bracket feet, typically found on oriental storage furniture of this type.

- Each face of the trunk features a field panel decorated with modest relief carvings of bamboo and floral detail, perhaps cherry blossom.

- The lid is an excellent fit and is raised on triple brass hinges, held upright with a hinged stay. Inside, the voluminous space is topped with a sliding, removable tray - ideal for smaller items.

A very pleasing example well made with a super finish, solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
