The Brahman or Brahma is a breed of Zebu cattle (Bos primigenius indicus) that originated in India, and was exported from there to the rest of the world. All cattle breeds are descended from this pedigree that comprised the main breeds Kankrej, Gujarat, Nelore (or Ongole), and the Gir (or Gyr). Brahman cows and bulls were first found in Bharat/Jambudweep, India.
