PAIR OF REGENCY STYLE BERGERE CHAIRS

A good pair of Regency style mahogany framed Bergere chairs in excellent overall condition, square tapering supports terminating in block feet. Brass plaque reads "S & H Jewell, 132, High Holborn, London. W.C"

the rectangular ogee cornice with an arrowhead carved frieze above four glazed doors, each enclosing shelves flanked by fluted and cabochon carved pilasters headed by leaf carved capitals, the lower part with arrowhead carving above four panelled doors centred by lozenges flanked by fluted uprights with carved leaf roundels, on a moulded plinth base, labelled twice inside the base doors, S.& H. JEWELL, 29, 30 & 31, LITTLE QUEEN ST, HOLBORN.W.C., 366cm wide, 66cm deep, 273cm high (144" wide, 25.5" deep, 107" high).
