Artist Biography:
Reynier Brandt was born in Wezel,(Rijnland), The son of Wilhelm and Anna Katharina Westerholt. He began silversmithing in 1734 and married Maria van Wierop in 1737 in Lauriergracht, Amsterdam. He is noted in his production of bread baskets, trays, sugar casters. The gold and silversmith Gerrard Boete is recorded as the witness at Brandt's wedding.
