This selection of suspended porcelain sculptures is made of porcelain cast in a solid block of acrylic. First, the strips are built into a structure and fired in a kiln to 1260 degrees. Then, the structure is embedded in acrylic, in a mold and the block is cured before cutting and machine polishing. Finally, the acrylic heats up and shrinks during the curing process, expanding, and shrinking at a different rate to the porcelain. Once cast, cooled and the shrinking is complete, no more movements will occurs, resulting an extremely delicate and elegant design.
