Important and rare secrétaire à abattant, finely inlaid in light wood with motifs of palmettes and lyre in the typical French taste of Charles X style. The external structure is made of oak and veneered in mahogany feather. Inside there is a set of drawers, embellished by a light burr walnut. Some of them have a secret opening. The folding top is covered with beautiful embossed leather original of that period. The locks and the keys are also original. The top surface has a rare grey marble of the Pyrenees (petit antique). Entirely original in all its parts, this piece of furniture is in excellent condition and was restored with a shellac finish. Period: first half of the 19th century.
