This high quality hot cast solid bronze was produced using the traditional "lost wax" process, otherwise known as the "cire perdue" method. The lamps depict classical maidens wearing Grecian garments. They hold flaming torches above their heads and stand on stepped marble bases which are decorated with bronze ornamentation. They each bear the replica signature of L Gregoire ( Jean Louis Gregoire 1840 - 1890).
