For sale is a fine quality Victorian, Georgian Style, mahogany partners desk. The top of the desk has its original leather insert, with a rising leaf on either side, extending the width of the top. Below this, are three drawers to the front, and three opposing drawers on the back. The top fits onto two pedestals, each with a total of six drawers. All of the drawers feature an unusual locking mechanism made by Kaye's of Leeds, Old Holdborn, London. The drawer fronts have a button allowing the user to lock each drawer without the need of a key, this is a very rare feature to find in antique desks of this period. The desk is complete with two keys. Overall, the piece is in good condition, with minor wear commensurate with age and use. The desk separates into three sections for ease of transport. A great item for a formal office.
