For sale is a very good quality Victorian Rosewood Secretaire Wellington Chest. The chest has 6 graduated drawers, each with turned handles. The third drawer down is a secretaire, with a fall front opening to reveal a fitted interior comprising several drawers and pigeon holes as well as a red leather insert. This is above a further three graduated drawers. The chest has a side locker, allowing all drawers to the locked at once. The overall condition of the chest is very good. There is a dent in the top of the chest (see images). The damage was caused during the German bombing raids of London in 1940-1941\\. A piece of shrapnel hit the chest, leaving the mark. All of the original veneer is still present in the dent. We have left it in its original state as we think this is a nice piece of the chests history.
