Irina creates a vision of ageing of the architecture, where every peeling layer of surface gives a context to a history and time. In order to do so she choose purely material language of ceramics, as possible behaviours of ceramic material are very diverse. For this reason, she avoid constructing narrative projections in her work, preferring to use laconic shapes and let the nature of the material itself creates its own narrative and identity that the viewer unconsciously relates to.

Irina Razumovskaya entered the State Academy of Art and Design's Fine Art and Ceramic and Glass Department, graduating magma cum laude in 2008\. She was exposed to academic drawing and painting, practised contemporary art and deepened her knowledge of ceramic art. Following this, Irina was admitted to the prestigious Royal College of Art in London for her MA in ceramic and glass. Her main form of artistic expression is ceramic and painting. Her art works have been a part of various international competitions, curated exhibitions, residencies and exhibited across the world.
